2021 Year in Review

What an interesting year it’s been! Like many others, the pandemic has challenged us at the SAW Project, but our goal of bringing positive change to the global supervision industry through international collaboration has continued. Thanks to supporters like you, we were able to achieve significant accomplishments.

2-Minute Insight Series

This year we launched our series called ‘2-Minute Insights’ which now includes over 70 video interviews. Insights were gathered from clients, program administrators, and criminal justice professionals from around the world about successful programs, challenges met, and personal views. In addition to sharing these videos on our website and social media, we also had the opportunity to showcase examples during break periods at the International Corrections and Prison Association (ICPA) annual conference.

Share Your Insight!

We plan to continue this series, but need your help! Use your voice for good and share an anecdote about a positive supervision or reintegration experience. Your story will not only motivate others but also educate criminal justice professionals on how they can improve services.

Sharing your insights has never been so easy as we conduct interviews via Zoom! Do you know someone with a story to share? To nominate them or apply, fill out the form on the bottom of our video page and we will get back to you shortly.

Continued Outreach

This year we had incredible opportunities to speak at different conferences such as the Association of Paroling Authorities International (APAI) and the American Probation and Parole Association (APPA).  Spreading the word about the SAW Project and our goals to increase global collaboration has been well received each time. You can also catch us during our presentation in Ottawa, Canada at the World Congress on Probation in September 2022.

Without supporters like you, we couldn’t continue to strive toward improvements in criminal justice outcomes.  Thank you to all.

Happy New Year,
